A slightly shorter-than-usual reaction article this week thanks to the BBC America Shop and this evening’s BAFTAs. The Crimon Horror was a fun episode – but how well did it go down?

Doctor Who Series 7: The Crimson Horror

As reported by SFX, 4.61 million people viewed the episode when broadcast, according to the overnight figures. This is likely to change, of course, probably by about two million. Note also that while iPlayer figures will revise this up more, they are not officially counted.

Kasterborous readers as ever voted in a poll on the episode. The Crimson Horror poll drew 533 respondents, and of these 78.24%  (417 votes) considered it “Fun, quirky and a breath of fresh air” – perhaps the best showing in Series 7 so far. Meanwhile, 11.63% (62 votes) liked it but wanted “more action”, and 10.13% (54 votes) were not impressed (“What the hell was that?!”).
